It's the most wonderful time of the year...

This is it - Christmas decorations for 2009! What a whirlwind the past six weeks have been. I will spare you the gruesome details, but let us just say there was a great deal of socializing involved...not one of my strong points in life! That is not to say I am antisocial just, well, private!
As many of you know, I walk just about every day. Last week I felt like pushing myself a little more. Generally I walk about 3.5 miles each day. Now, remember we are new here and not knowledgeable as to the ins and outs of the nearby park where I walk (which in plain talk means I don't have a clue as to where I am going!). So, I decided I would follow the path (yes, it is paved so do I still call it a path?) and cross over at the next little bridge beyond where I've previously walked, which I did. L-o-n-g story short, this was my longest walk yet...six miles! It was exciting that I was able to walk that far, considering when I first started walking I was walking about a block! I did take the next day off so as to recuperate.
Christmas is low key at home this year, as you can tell by the photo. Those are oranges David and I did as part of the table decorations for the food served at the John Doan concert. Look him up online. He is quite the musician and very passionate about what he has to share.
Today I am taking several of my things to a local art gallery! We shall see how that goes. I like being able to talk to folks about my work and what materials and process I use in its creation. It is exciting, nonetheless.
